How to just be happy and positive?

The more we focus on positive things, the more positive things we see, same goes for negative things. You know how sometimes you’ll notice something you haven’t before and then you see it everywhere? That’s because our brains are pattern matching and identifying things through training.

Try saying or writing a few things you’re grateful for every day. I do three things every morning in the shower. This isn’t a magical fix but it can help make things slightly more positive and as a routine over time can have a substantial impact. It’s far more important that youre going to therapy though, great job for taking that step, I know it isn’t easy.
