How will the next Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 be?

Last March of this year, Xiaomi officially announced the launch of Redmi Note 7, a bestseller, as the first smartphone of the independent brand Redmi. This device incorporated a 48-megapixel main camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and an ultra shock-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 5 screen.

Now, just a few months later, the company has just published on the Chinese social network Weibo its next major launch through this independent brand: Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. What are its characteristics? How do they differ from their predecessor?

New Snapdragon 655 processor

First, the big difference of this new smartphone is that it will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 655 processor, while the top model, Redmi Note 8 Pro, will have a Mediatek Helio G90T. Regarding its design, after seeing the images filtered on the social network mentioned above, it is thought that it will be built with an aluminum and glass design.

On the other hand, we have also seen that the photographic system will include up to four sensors on the back, including a 48-megapixel main lens, a telephoto lens, a wide angle and a macro. Various leaks also ensure that the main camera will use pixel binning technology and will be able to perform up to 25 magnifications.

The rest of the technical specifications are still unknown, but both terminals will be officially presented to the public on August 29, although, for the moment, they will be launched only in China and will have to wait a few months to reach the European market.
